Privacy policy — last updated July 2026

Your information stays yours.

This is an educational resource, not a lead machine. Nothing here is built to harvest you. Read exactly what is and is not collected, and where the line sits between education and representation.

This website does not collect, store, or sell personal information. We are an educational resource. Any communication you initiate is voluntary and confidential to the extent permitted by law.

1

Who we are

Toxic Exposure Evidence Center is operated by Albert Leroy Thombs Jr., VA-Accredited Claims Agent #45147, located in Nevada. Our accreditation is issued under 38 CFR § 14.629 and regulated by the VA Office of General Counsel (OGC).

This website is an educational platform designed to help veterans, surviving family members, and caregivers understand the VA claims process for toxic exposure-related conditions.

2

Information we do NOT collect

  • We do not run advertising trackers or sell data to third parties.
  • We do not collect Social Security numbers, VA file numbers, or medical records through this website.
  • We do not store form submissions on external servers without your knowledge.
  • We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.
3

Information that may be collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting platform (Abacus AI) may collect standard server log data including:

  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Browser type and version
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL

This data is used solely for site performance monitoring and is never linked to your personal identity.

4

Contact forms and free case review requests

If you submit a contact or case review request, the following applies:

  • Your name, phone number, and message are received directly by Albert Thombs, VA-Accredited Claims Agent #45147.
  • This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.
  • No attorney-client relationship, agent-of-record relationship, or VA representation is established until a signed VA Form 21-22a is on file with the VA.
  • Your information is never sold, shared, or disclosed to third parties without your written consent, except as required by law.
5

The 21-22a boundary — what this means for you

Under 38 CFR § 14.629 and 14.631, accredited claims agents may only provide claims-specific advice and formal representation after a VA Form 21-22a (Appointment of Veterans Service Organization as Claimant’s Representative) has been submitted to and accepted by the VA.

Until that form is on file, all content on this website — including any responses to your inquiries — constitutes general education and information only, not legal or claims advice specific to your case.

6

Third-party links

Where this site links out — for example to VA.gov to file something, or to a government or research database — we do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We link to them because the destination is authoritative and public. Research findings themselves are written out on this site rather than handed off as a link, so you are not sent somewhere else to learn what a study actually said.

7

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

8

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of any updates.

Share only what you are comfortable providing. Nothing on this site asks for a Social Security number, a VA file number, or a medical record, and you should never send those through a web form.

Everything on this site is education, not a diagnosis and not individualized legal advice. Warning signs are for raising with a clinician — only a clinician can evaluate them.
